“Method of molding the imprints of individual orthopedic insoles and a device for its implementation in problem feet, before and after amputations, including diabetic foot, cerebral palsy “

Volodymyr Tarasov, “Studio of Health – OUR OPPORTUNITY” Rivne, Ukraine

Official figures only for diabetes and diabetic foot problems are reported:

According to the World Health Organization, today about 171 million people in the world suffer from diabetes and the number of such patients is increasing every day.

According to the forecasts of the same World Health Organization by 2030, the number of those suffering from diabetes will increase to 366 million.

Ukraine officially announced 1 million, in Russia 9 million, in the U.S. 20 million people suffering from diabetes! Diabetes affects almost 30% of the population of Saudi Arabia, the same disease is a real problem for other Gulf countries.

The incidence of diabetes in Europe is 2-5%, and the total number of patients aged 15 years and older reaches 13-32.5 million.

All these patients belong to the risk group with an increased probability of lower limb amputations, requiring individualized orthopedic insoles. Wearing mass-produced insoles for this category of people is FORBIDDEN!

Today there are more than 15 million people in the world affected by cerebral palsy. Every day 900 newborns are born with signs of this incurable disease.

Calculations based on estimates and projections by the U.S. Bureau of the Census (International Data Base) show that in 2010 the number of cerebral palsy patients worldwide will increase to 17,340,000.

Therefore, it is important to provide care for cerebral palsy and take into account paralytic foot conditions.

In Russia, out of 400,000 children of school and preschool age, 75% have various neurological and orthopedic disorders, including scoliosis, flat feet, unequal leg length, etc.

These are the results of a screening examination conducted by specialists of the medical and pedagogical laboratory “Health of Children and Adults” of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Medical and Physical Culture Dispensary and the Scientific and Engineering Problem Center “Biomechanics and Rehabilitation” within the framework of the project of the Nizhny Novgorod UNESCO Center “Beautiful Posture”.

My experience of working with children in Ukraine shows that 100% of diabetics, children of pre-school and school age, including those with cerebral palsy, who have not lost the supporting function of their feet, need foot and support correction.

The statistics of foot and support problems are given only for diabetes, cerebral palsy, and children’s problems and it is already evident that this is a problem of millions!

We did not touch the statistics of problems of medical personnel, military personnel, salesmen, journalists, businessmen, all those who work on their feet most of the time, athletes (soccer players, basketball players, boxers, weightlifters, etc.), dancers (ballet), and many other categories…which will greatly add to the statistics of those in need of podiatric care.

Diabetes does not bypass the diabetic foot ( every 30 seconds a limb of a person with diabetes problems is amputated in the world).

In one minute in the world, there are two operations (amputations) on a diabetic foot, in a day – 2880 people.

in a month – 86400 people

in a year -1036800 people.

This number would be much less if the means of prevention and rehabilitation offered by the “Studio of Health – OUR OPPORTUNITY” were applied

Unless urgent action is taken, the number of deaths related to diabetes alone will increase by more than 50% in the next 10 years.

No matter how many statistics we cite, it is important not only to state the facts but also to actually suggest how to eliminate the cause.

The cause of our problems is primarily mechanical, physical inactivity, and deformation of the foot and support!

This is stated by scientists of the International team of researchers led by Julin Zeirat and Alexander Chibalin from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, who have made a discovery that could make life easier for millions of people around the world.

They found an enzyme responsible for the cell’s ability to metabolize glucose and fats and switch from one energy source to another.

It is a metabolic disorder in diabetes and the discovery that everyone can take advantage of now. The fact that the concentration of DHA-delta, which, as it turns out, is so important for the perception of insulin, increases significantly with muscle load.

Therefore, according to Alexander Chibalin, “the best cure for diabetes now (except for metformin and sulfonylurea) is physical activity”, which allows reducing glucose levels not by increasing insulin levels, but simply by making the insulin signal visible.

Diabetes sufferers themselves are aware of this, testifying that after working on the garden plot, they are “hyped”, they notice a drop in blood sugar, and some use an exercise bike to keep blood sugar levels lower.

If we consider an important organ – the liver, the main metabolic processes in the liver occur only in motion. If the organ of blood purification is not working well, then from here come the problems of other systems and organs, including the topic of “Metabolic Syndrome” discussed on this forum.

Only preservation and improvement of the motor function of the foot and support in the background of general therapy can prolong the joy of life.

Everyone knows what hyperdynamic leads to – (from Greek hypo – down and dynamic – strength) – weakening of muscle activity caused by a sedentary lifestyle and limitation of motor activity.

Medics call hyperdynamic syndrome the disease of the century and the downside of progress. The fairness of such a statement is, unfortunately, obvious.

We know that many people are very busy with personal affairs and simply do not allocate time for prevention, from which their visit to medical institutions often comes in critical situations.

Even when people are conscientious about their health and their eyesight deteriorates, they are fitted for glasses – they are fitted for their eyes, not offered to buy the first ones they see.

Dentists also take into account the condition of each patient’s teeth, making crowns individually.

Why, when our feet hurt, do they suggest that we buy insoles at the pharmacy?

Feet hurts almost half of the world’s population, especially when walking. The reason is in the biomechanics of the feet – individual and unique.

Just as no two people on the planet have the same pair of eyes, no two pairs of feet are identical.

Millions of people need practical application of orthopedic insoles, not mass, but individually made, to restore the balance of the human body, activate the body’s defenses, and immunity, and increase the level of adaptation, and resistance to external and internal influences.

A person should be, in musculoskeletal, nervous, and mental unity.

Any change in one of these systems leads to changes in the other systems and causes the appearance of systematic disorders.

A well-balanced body will function properly and for a long time.

Deformities of the feet, curvatures of the spine, subluxations of the vertebrae, displacement of bones in the joints, and strained muscles, lead to general and local tissue disorders in the form of swelling of tissues, the appearance of pain from irritation of nerve endings.

Two years ago, mass and individual-mass insoles were considered in the classification of insoles. By making an application of the invention, I succeeded in practically introducing the concept of “individualized” into the classification of orthopedic insoles.

My proposed Patent for molding insoles in air includes not only the method and apparatus for carrying it out but also certain principles of individuality.

The most important principle is to provide podiatric care directly in direct contact with the patient’s foot, not remotely. It is wrong to manufacture insoles-correctors in one city and to issue without fitting in another, without taking into account the condition of the shoes and the patient’s well-being.

Individual principles can be called “foot dentistry”, with a high (efficiency) coefficient of the usefulness of corrective insoles, which are made taking into account the shoes of the patient and the condition of the feet and support.

High-precision insoles that solve individual problems of deformation, taking into account the difference in the length of the lower limbs, corrective insoles affect the body, eliminating the dynamic stereotype and improving the balance of the body, creating a general improvement in the well-being of the body.

Working in the “Zorovya Studio – OUR OPORA” in Rivne, Ukraine, is my practical experience, where I carry out correction and balance the load on the feet and support, which significantly improves the overall health of patients.

It would not be fair to those in need to limit such opportunities to only one “Health Studio” in one city and in one country!!

Given the time limit, I will not describe the method and device for molding corrective insoles.

Let me just remind you that today in the world they use solid and liquid media to mold insoles, I proposed and work in a gaseous environment, which allows me to make footprints more accurately, with higher efficiency in complex conditions of the feet and support!

Deformations of the feet and musculoskeletal system lead to problems in other systems of our body.

As a rule, the onset of common diseases begins with deformations of organs and systems.

The slightest symptoms of pain in the legs or spine lead to a deterioration in a person’s motor function.

Everyone knows that movement is life! To improve movement function, it is necessary to guide a person to balance, through correction of the foot and musculoskeletal system, through custom orthopedic insoles.

This helps restore motor function and harmonizes the functioning of all systems of the human body.

Previously proposed technologies in the world did not provide high accuracy of correction and therefore were not considered as fundamental or profiling.

Today, having proposed a method for molding individual insoles in air, I can safely say that the success of any treatment begins with the correction of the foot and support to an accuracy of 0.5 millimeters, and then everything else. Several dozen doctors in my city and abroad already know about this, and they work closely with me.

The photographs of feet on the slides belong to my patients.

Such states speak for themselves!

There is no doubt about the need for an individual approach to the problems of such feet; mass-produced insoles for such conditions are not effective and are prohibited!

An increasing number of sufferers of foot and support deformities appreciate the method of accurately imprinting the foot on air cushions.

At one time, I could not connect the relationship between foot correction and support and dentistry.

But, finding myself with my seven-year-old son in a dental clinic, I saw on the posters a molded malocclusion in children, and I understood everything: individual correction of the foot and support are necessary when shaping the correct bite of children!

Children, including those with cerebral palsy (cerebral palsy), require orthopedic correction of the foot and musculoskeletal system.

The testimony of a patient with cerebral palsy from Russia, Anatoly Kasyanov, a “wheelchair user” who has never stood on his own feet in his life, but clearly understands the essence of the problem, states that the use of corrective insoles and special shoes would help many people give up the wheelchair.

Injuries to the lower extremities lead to curvature and injuries to the upper parts of the musculoskeletal system (pelvis, spine, chest).

Irreversible processes occur, contractures, muscle atrophy, loss of coordination and mobility,

With age, the ability to move on the lower limbs is lost – COMPLETE DISABILITY!

Mechanical factors, injuries to the mother during pregnancy, disturbances during childbirth, birth trauma (associated with pelvic curvature), and injuries to the child in the postpartum period.

All this affects the future of our generations, being transmitted negatively through genes.

During pregnancy, many women complain of leg pain.

The appearance of pain is associated with an overload of the feet and joints of the limbs against the background of weight gain, and softening of ligaments and cartilage tissue when preparing the body for childbirth.

The main problems of pregnant women are excessive pronation of the feet, as a result of flattening of the arch of the foot under the influence of increasing body weight, and swelling of the legs.

Pain occurs in the heels, arch, and metatarsus.

The pain is often accompanied by cramps in the calf muscles and small muscles of the foot.

Only individual podiatric care for such conditions can significantly improve the functioning of the entire body.

For clarity, I compare our complex organism with a soulless car.

How much care an iron machine receives cannot be compared with the care given to our body.

Legs can be Mercedes or trucks

Since a healthy foot is like a shock absorber when running and walking, it “absorbs” all shock loads.

As long as your health is good, your foot can be compared to the work of… a Mercedes on a bumpy road.

People inside the car almost do not feel all the errors of the track. And when illness comes, the sensations change – it’s already a “truck” with a rigid suspension.

When the shock-absorbing functions of the foot are impaired, it cannot “dampen” the vibrations that occur during movement, which is why pain occurs in the ankle and hip joints, and posture is disturbed.

In most cases, we pay attention to problems of the foot and support only after a pain signal, when problems arise. Until then, we simply mindlessly peddle the work of our body.

Today, Prevention, with its revival, could be more effective than classical treatment.

I say with confidence that the use of custom corrective insoles significantly reduces surgical interventions on patients’ feet.

And this is a significant saving of material resources for the State.

In 2007, for the first time, I announced on the Internet media and Central Television of Ukraine the possibility of using my method and device in field conditions – “Medicine on Wheels” – “Podiatric Care”.

This makes it possible to provide podiatric care in the most remote locality, at a large enterprise, in an inaccessible place, etc.

Additionally, in the “Studio on Wheels,” you can use diagnostic and treatment equipment.

An important addition may be individual tailoring of shoes for medical reasons, taking into account the needs of a modern person. This will significantly complement and improve the ability to provide comprehensive medical care for foot and support problems.

The method of individual production of orthopedic insoles in air is RECOGNIZED in Ukraine and abroad:

In September 2006, Ukrainian Patents were registered on the method of individual production of orthopedic insoles.

In December 2006, my project made it to the finals and became a prize-winner of the All-Ukrainian competition of Innovators and Innovators of the world-famous brand “Philips: smart and Simple” (Kyiv, Ukrainian House, Ukraine). 100 thousand Kyiv residents and guests of the city voted for my project “Orthopedic Insoles” by the majority.

Awards:

Diploma of the State Department of Intellectual Property under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine

Diplomas of the competition “Philips: smart and simple”, Valuable gifts.

Publications

In December 2006 in the International Journal of Endocrinology 4(6)2006. my article “SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH FOR THE GOOD OF MAN” has been published, about the possibilities and feasibility of using the method of individual production of orthopedic insoles for various, complex foot conditions.

The decision to publish was made by the agreed decision of the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Pankiva V.I. (former chief Endocrinologist of Ukraine) and specialists in the field of medicine of Ukraine:

Chairman of the editorial board Tronko M.D. (former chief endocrinologist of Ukraine) and 55 members of the editorial board.

Specialists in the field of medicine from different countries of the world: Chairman of the editorial board Ferrannini E. (Pisa, Italy) and 38 members of the editorial board from 17 countries (Russia, Moldova, Georgia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Italy, USA, Holland, Great Britain, Finland, Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Romania

A sick society and disability give rise to several ethical, social, and economic problems, the level of solution of which is one of the most important characteristics of modern society.

According to UN experts, people with disabilities make up 10% of the total population. A special place among them is occupied by the problems of people with disabilities since childhood, which have both a local and a global, universal human nature. Disabled children are the most poorly protected category of disabled people, which have their specific characteristics.

A significant share in the structure of disability in general is made up of disabilities associated with disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

At the same time, the leading place among this kind of disorder is occupied by cerebral palsy, in which there is damage to the musculoskeletal system of varying degrees of severity, as well as changes in the functioning of internal organs, and, most importantly, intellectual and characterological disorders.

Everyone should mind their own business, and therefore together we can:

*Significantly reduce injuries and disability associated with foot amputations, including those with diabetes. (Let me remind you that every 30 seconds in the world the limbs of people with diabetes problems are amputated).

*Significantly improve the health of women and children and society as a whole!

* The market for the manufacture of individual corrective insoles is not limited to Ukraine alone.

“Health Studio – OUR SUPPORT” is privately owned, is successfully developing, and constantly meets the needs of people in modern society.

The insoles manufacturing market has its business interest!

But, no amount of money can measure the joy of those in need of medical care!
